Sabine is a first-generation American, born to European parents. She grew up surrounded by art, museums, and experiences in a multicultural world. She spent her childhood and youth growing up in Austria, and when she was not there, she lived in California. After graduation, she joined the US Navy. Later, her dream of becoming a teacher became a reality, and she taught English and Art. She also volunteered as a certified volunteer firefighter and as a den leader and cubmaster of the local Cub Scout unit.
With artistic parents, it was natural for her to also develop her own God-given talents. Sabine finds it hard to simply focus on one type of artistic form and always enjoys learning something new and experimenting. She loves the written word and all the possibilities that it can produce. She also draws and paints, crochets, knits, and does a variety of needlework. She enjoys doing a variety of arts and crafts, and she also sews. She dabbles in photography, ceramics, and recently did a few diamond painting pieces, including an original piece from one of her photographs.
Sabine has been married to her husband for 35 years, and they share their home with four dogs and three cats. Their family includes seven daughters (one is deceased), one son, 24 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
